Your rosebill photos are amazing! How close do you actually get to them? Or how long is your lense...? You really captured a lot of detail.
I only saw a few of them when I was in Florida a few years ago, and none of them were close enough even to get a clear shot, much less that amount of detail. I also loved the first Egret photo where it is preening every stranded feather. Beautiful shot!!
I don't know which Canon you have (mine is a Canon) but some make special adapters to be able to attach a teleconverter. Check to see if there is one for your camera.
Thanks Nathaniel. They’ve been popping up in several unexpected places the past few years like along the New Jersey coast and central Pennsylvania. I think Michigan is the furthest north and inland that I’ve heard of!

Thanks so much Sheryl. Some were fairly close but I have a 300mm lens with a 1.4 teleconverter which I needed on several of the photos.
Wish I could add a teleconference to my lens but for some odd reason Canon didn't make it possible for my camera....serious bummer!
