Moving closer to your daughter in the midst of medical stresses sounds like a smart strategy, despite the disruptions of living and working spaces. Wishing you and your husband stabilization and serenity Sandra. 🙏🏻

I'm looking forward to seeing more of your paintings in addition to your photography. That piece is gorgeous! And I'm so happy you have a studio - I know mine is a place of refuge from my anxiety derived from caring for an aging parent as well as the mess we are in... again. I hope your studio becomes that for you, too.

Thanks Susannah. The one issue I have with the studio is it's open to the kitchen which can be a bit distracting. I'd love to enclose it with French doors but not in the budget. It's time to stop making excuses and get back to work.

I had a similar problem with my mudroom - you can see right into my kitchen from the front door and it was creeping me out. I ended up getting a tri-fold room divider. Not as good as French doors, but it might at least visually "close" the studio. 😁

Huh... never thought of that. Will look into it. Or maybe a pretty dressing screen just to make me feel like I have a little privacy.

Stress of all kinds are shocks to our body and our natural rhythms. Truly, there have been no shortage of stressors the last decade or so. That being said, I am trying my best to not allow stress to have its way. Although it has had some success

Nature always helps, especially our avian companions. Your painting is magnificient, so life-like. I wish you and your husband a good adjustment to your new residence and may it be a place of love and life.

Thanks Perry. Stress will find a way in. We just have to learn how to minimize it.

Yes, yes and yes. Thanks for sharing the story and that painting of the Great Blue Heron, magic and mystical. Could be a photograph, so realistic. Best to your husband and you in the months ahead.

Take care, be well, stay safe.
