Sandra, so glad to have met you here, my secret twin from another mother, with like interests. I've been here since April 2023, and it's been a welcome change from FB.
Your words have echoed my thoughts lately. I’m tired of Facebook and Instagram. I gave up on Flickr. I thought I would give Substack a try because I really like the Blogging ability and/or the short posts. But wow, starting over on a new platform is so very hard and takes so much energy. I think people just have social media fatigue these days. I know I do!
Thanks Lisa. It really isn't any different than posting on IG or FB. We can simply create longer posts to show more images and say a lot more when we feel like it. I started with no list of followers and am building a following slowly. I'm not in a rush.
I also found a wonderful community of like-minded people, chiefly people who enjoy Nature and all whom reside here on Home Earth. I particularly love my avian companions, but anything with feathers or fur wins my attention and heart.
There is indeed a lovely community of creators here on Substack Sandra, of which you are a generous member. The fine work displayed here by so many people can be a refuge from some of the ugliness in the world. 🌱
So sorry you brought politics into the equation and hateful remarks at that. Your photographs are beautiful and do not reflect your vitriole Perhaps you should look into why you had breast cancer and strokes -hate brings on illness
Jennifer, I'm sorry you don't care for my comments. I don't intend to criticize anyone else's thoughts or feelings. My feelings about one person shouldn't make me an enemy to others, as others who feel differently aren't enemies to me. These things do not define the whole person. My hope is that people can accept my feelings and thoughts as l allow others to express and share theirs and that thoughtful and open discussion can follow.
I forgot to add - Stay strong. Birds of a feather, not alone
Thank you Jo!
Did you know "Tweets and Chirps"? I used to love that newsletter. What you do is as beautiful and also offers your experience. Thank you, Jo
Thanks Jo. Not familiar with Tweets and Chirps. Are they still around?
I can't find them in years
